We鈥檙e two weeks into the school year, and I can鈥檛 express how impressed I am with our 网红爆料 teachers and staff. As I visit campuses, I鈥檓 genuinely in awe of what educators do daily for our students. School communities are created one relationship at a time.

We must listen and learn from our students to understand what they need to be supported and successful. Last week, I had the honor of meeting with the Superintendent Student Equity Council, which includes 50+ secondary students representing all vertical teams in 网红爆料. I am committed to engaging with our incredible students to ensure this administration addresses their needs.

I hope everyone gets to rest and spend time with family and friends over the 3-day weekend. We鈥檒l see everyone Tuesday morning.

Where I鈥檒l be and who I鈥檒l meet

Monday, August 28
Today, I鈥檒l begin my week meeting with our Chief of Police, Wayne Sneed. As I do every Monday, I鈥檒l meet with our Senior Leadership Team, and then I鈥檒l meet with our School Safety Team. In the afternoon, I鈥檒l visit the Central Texas Food Bank and meet with Board President Arati Singh.

Tuesday, August 29
This morning, I will meet with Trustee Ofelia Zapata and meet a community member for lunch. I will review our Bond Program in the afternoon and meet with our Chief Equity Officer, Dr. Stephanie Hawley. I鈥檒l wrap up the day with one of my favorite meetings, the Austin Association of Public School Administrators. I meet with AAPSA monthly to determine the best way to support our campus administrators and gain valuable feedback on how things are going.

Wednesday, August 30
Today is going to be fun! We start the day with the Prize Patrol鈥攁n exciting event where the Austin Ed Fund visits grant award winners. I鈥檒l then meet with Trustee Lynn Boswell. I鈥檒l have lunch with Dyana Limon-Mercado, Travis County Clerk, to discuss some exciting opportunities.

I鈥檓 looking forward to meeting with a group of 网红爆料 supporters. The philanthropy of donor groups is critical to help us meet the needs of our students. I鈥檒l wrap up the day by meeting with the Austin Partners In Education Board.

Thursday, August 31
I鈥檒l start my day this morning meeting with Trustee Whitley Chu. Later in the morning, I will attend an appointment with our Funder Collaborative and Dr. Sharon Vaughn from the University of Texas at Austin. In the afternoon, we will be in final preparation for the Board Meeting. Thursday evening, we have our Regular Board Voting Meeting. We will review student discipline data on tonight's agenda and receive an overview of the new STAAR accountability measures.

Friday, September 1
I鈥檝e set aside this morning to visit some campuses. For lunch, I will meet with Education Austin President Ken Zarifis. I鈥檒l spend the afternoon preparing for the coming week鈥攐ur first 4-day work week.

Ya pasaron dos semanas desde que comenz贸 el ciclo escolar y no puedo expresar lo impresionado que estoy con nuestros maestros y personal del 网红爆料. Al visitar los planteles escolares, realmente quedo asombrado de lo que los educadores hacen a diario por nuestros estudiantes. Las comunidades escolares se crean una relaci贸n a la vez.

Debemos escuchar y aprender de nuestros estudiantes para entender lo que necesitan para serntirse apoyados y tener 茅xito. La semana pasada, tuve el honor de reunirme con el Consejo de Equidad Estudiantil del Superintendente, que incluye a m谩s de 50 estudiantes de educaci贸n secundaria que representan a todos los equipos verticales del 网红爆料. Estoy comprometido a entablar conversaci贸n con nuestros incre铆bles estudiantes para garantizar que esta administraci贸n aborde sus necesidades.

Hoy comenzar茅 mi semana reuni茅ndome con nuestro comisario de polic铆a, Wayne Sneed. Como lo hago todos los lunes, me reunir茅 con mi equipo de liderazgo de alto rango y luego me reunir茅 con nuestro equipo de Seguridad Escolar. Visitar茅 el Banco de Alimentos del Centro de Texas en la tarde y me reunir茅 con la presidenta de la mesa directiva Arati Singh

Martes, 29 de agosto
Esta ma帽ana me reunir茅 con Ofelia Zapata, miembro de la mesa directiva, y me reunir茅 con un miembro de la comunidad en el almuerzo. Revisar茅 nuestro programa de bonos en la tarde y me reunir茅 con nuestra directora general de Equidad, la Dra. Stephanie Hawley. Terminar茅 el d铆a en una de mis juntas favoritas con la AAPSA (Asociaci贸n de Administradores de Escuelas P煤blicas de Austin). Me re煤no con este grupo mensualmente para determinar la mejor manera de apoyar a los administradores de nuestras escuelas y obtener comentarios valiosos sobre c贸mo van las cosas.

隆Hoy ser谩 divertido! Comenzamos el d铆a con la Patrulla de Premios, un emocionante evento en el que Austin Ed Fund visita a los ganadores de subvenciones. Luego me reunir茅 con Lynn Boswell, miembro de la mesa directiva. Almorzar茅 con Dyana Lim贸n-Mercado, secretaria del condado de Travis, para discutir ciertas oportunidades emocionantes.

Comenzar茅 mi d铆a esta ma帽ana reuni茅ndome con Whitley Chu, miembro de la mesa directiva. M谩s tarde esa ma帽ana asistir茅 a una cita con nuestro grupo de colaboraci贸n para el financiamiento y la Dra. Sharon Vaughn de la Universidad de Texas en Austin. En la tarde haremos las preparaciones finales para la junta de la mesa directiva. El jueves en la noche tendremos nuestra junta ordinaria de votaci贸n de la mesa directiva. Analizaremos los datos de disciplina estudiantil en la agenda de esta noche y recibiremos un resumen sobre las nuevas medidas de responsabilidad de las STAAR.
